The goal of the Good Governance department is to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency of public authorities.

Our priorities:

Justice and Human Rights

The Justice and Human Rights Department’s vision of rule of law is built on the solid grounds of a fair, accessible and predictable justice delivery system, which effectively safeguards fundamental human rights.

The Department develops and implements activities in several areas, crucial for the fulfilment of its vision, including Human Rights, Judiciary, Access to Justice, and Criminal Justice.

Public Health

The department's mission is to promote good governance in the health sector, to contribute to increasing the equitable access of the population to responsive health and social services, and to promote responsible actions for the protection of environment.

Media Program

Media Department's mission is to contribute to the development of an open, participatory, pluralistic and value-based society in the Republic of Moldova by organizing, supporting and financing activities aimed at encouraging the development of an independent media sector and improving access to information.

Education Support Project

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

 The Soros Foundation– Moldova (SFM) is looking for a highly skilled individual for the position of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (MES) within the Public Health Program. The MES will monitor and evaluate HIV/AIDS activities implemented within the projects financed from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS/TB and Malaria Grant, Round 8. The deadline for applications is November 6, 2012, 4.00 PM.

Requirements:
• Higher education in the field of public health, health management, social sciences or other relevant fields;
• Experience in doing monitoring and evaluation of activities,
• Experience in provision of technical assistance in similar projects;
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills;
• Ability to work both independently and in a team;
• Flexibility, ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work overtime when necessary;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent computer literacy, including database administration;
• Written and oral proficiency in English, Romanian and Russian.

*Experience of work in HIV field will be an advantage.
