Support for Independent Media in Transnistria
The local media support for Transnistria program component aims to support initiatives in the development of independent media in the region.
The main project objectives:
- To facilitate independent media development in Transnistria and increase the professional skills of Transnistrian journalists;
- To support professional and audio/TV program exchanges between local stations – members of the network. The network was established in 2006 within the regional media strengthening program financed by the International Swedish Agency for Development and Soros Foundation Moldova. It comprises 24 local radio and TV stations and functions based on principles of informative and community-oriented program exchange.
The project is implemented by Soros Foundation Moldova, Media Program. Announcements on project competitions will be made public on the web site www.soros.md.
